The Country-Onions are also known as Olum, Bobimbi. These hazelnuts have an
oval shape, hence their names rings, used to season sauces just like ground pepper
and garlic.
It has a powerful and pleasant aroma that is slightly similar to that of garlic, hence the name garlic tree. Under the scientific name Afrostyrax lepidophyllus, the fruit of the garlic tree is a species of the Huaceae family. They can be found in Cameroon, Gabon and Ghana. Afrostyrax lepidophyllus bark extract has been shown to have pesticidal effects in some studies.
This spice should not be missing in any African cuisine and grill dishes. Pure nature. It can replace both garlic and onion.
